Calendar problem

Somehow I got my calender view screwed up and it only shows the entire 2014 year. How do I get it back or how do I cycle through the different calendar views.

Just tap on any month (eg September) when you are in year view and it will go into month view.

Afraid that is not doing it. Used to do so but no longer. I thought it was a iOS8 thing. I can tap on any month and it does nothing.

I will reboot the phone again but it did not help last time.
