For the life of me I can't get my calendar to sync between my Mac (Yosemite) and iPhones (iOS 8) consistently.

The only way I can get it to sync is to tinker with it (turn on and off AppleID and Calendar under iCloud repeated) then finally, randomly it syncs. All using iCloud, all using the same AppleID.

Here I am out of state and I desperately need something off my calendar. Like a moron I entered all the info into the calendar app on my Mac without checking that it synced with my iPhone. Now I'm looking at a blank calendar on my iPhone. I know if I had access to my Mac and turned calendar off and back on it would sync.

Anyway, what am I doing wrong? Has anyone ran into this and how did you solve it? Contacts does the something sometimes.

Synching fine with my iPhone, Mac and PC running Outlook. No luck at all with my iPad mini 2. Calendar entries don't appear at all. Have turned iCloud on and off. Have reset iPad multiple times. Only thing I haven't done is to clear everything off and start all over.

I am really sick and tired of iCloud not working right. And the defenders can't say this is still in beta (like they do with IPL).

Sync via iCloud with my iPads, iPhone and macs works flawlessly.

Cool story, any idea what I can try doing to achieve the same results?

I got it to sync while I was on my business trip by going to iCloud and turning off calendar. It gave me the option to Keep on phone or Delete. Keeping on the phone did nothing so I deleted which turned off everything, then I switched it back on and everything synced liked I'd expect.

Anyway so I got home and tried again. I entered just a mundane event I have on Feb 3rd onto my Mac. 3 hours later still not showing on my iOS devices.

All the iCloud syncing is hit or miss for me. Notes and reminders seem ok'ish, messages works very well, shared photostream works very well, contacts is poor at best, and calendars is total crap. Safari stopped working in one direction, I can see tabs on my iPhone but I can't see anything from on my Mac (from my iPhone).

Overall I find the experience poor at best, since I have AppleCare still on all my devices (iPhone 6 and iMac) I called Apple tech. They just get me to the point that it syncs once and then do everything they can to get off the phone even though I've called them 3 times with the issue and they have it recorded they don't offer more then a temporary solution.

I was really hoping someone here has ran into this (and fixed it) and was able to pass on that knowledge.

Check that you are signed in with the same ID on all devices and make sure they are connected to the Internet. For them to sync you also have to open them up and wait for awhile for syncing to finish.
That's all that comes to mind.
Good luck :)

Ya. It seems so simple. But for some reason its just not working. I only have one AppleID and they are all connected to a very fast/strong wifi.

I've tried leaving the calendar apps open all night and still hasn't refreshed.

What I've noticed if I enter an event on my iMac calendar it won't seed to the iOS devices. If I then take the iOS device and enter an event the one from the iMac pops up. Kind of like I forced it refresh.

I tried changing the "refresh account" under OS X calendar preferences from Push to Every 5 minutes but that made no difference.

Calendar syncing

I just tried a test. I turned on Google calendar on my Mac and iPhone. I entered two events, one under my iCloud and the other under Google and 2 separate days. Google event popped up relatively quickly, iCloud even has yet to pop up.

So I don't know know if that helps someone come up with any ideas. Basically Google works, iCloud doesn't.

Test is icloud, test2 is Google

Icloud not showing up on iPhone, Google pops right up.

I have the same issue that just started yesterday. Never had this before and changed nothing but now all calendars are gone. Don't even show up on the Calendars tab. Tried everything and it's nuts...

Problem on iphone 6. Mac and Air 2 sync perfectly.

Same problem, all calendars work except iCloud. I was using Sunrise calendar on iPhone bc the iCal one wasn't syncing. It is now for some reason. If I played around and changed something, I don't remember.

This is why I am staying with GMail for now and Sunrise on iPhone. Too many important items on GMail to lose.

OK, this is weird!! It suddenly started syncing again, just as quickly as it stopped. Just turned off iCloud and back on again, which I had done several times to no avail. But this time it just worked.

This is crazy but at least it's working again!!!
