Hey guys, I fully charged my MacBook last night and I used it since this morning using only the battery. Followed the instructions so far.... now I only have 8% battery life left (0:21 remaining) according to the battery indicator. So it should die pretty soon. 🙂

So once it goes to sleep I have to wait at least 5 hours and then recharge it to full capacity right?

After I wait 5 hours of it being asleep, can I recharge while using the MacBook?

I left mine on E over night and plugged it in before I wen to the gym in the morning. It worked out perfectly (no pun intended). I think the support page on Apple Support says 12 hours but it's been a while since I've last done this. Come to think of it, I could use another calibration.

Here's my battery information from coconutbattery... which I just downloaded a minute ago. 🙂

Edit: Age of my macbook says 3 months and I just got it yesterday or two days ago 🙁

And is my battery good? 4446mAh?

You Mac was not built the day you bought it, right? It is counting from the first time it was booted up and the OS was installed at the factory.

Oh I see. So I guess mine was built on around January 🙂 woot lol

Anyway... 3% left. I got a warning saying it will go to sleep to preserve memory or something like that.

So anyway... I guess I will be surfing in 5 hours 🙂

I should be able to use the MacBook while its charging right to calibrate the batter after 5 hours of it being asleep with no power left

You will be able to use the MacBook once the battery has reached 15% full.

I think this calibration crap is hilarious. I've never calibrated any PC laptop battery yet they still hold up.

Calibrating is done, mainly, to calibrate the battery's computer so you can get an accurate approximation of how much charge your battery has left.

My Maximum Battery Capacity went from 4447 mAh to 4228 mAh after Calibrating the Battery 🙁

Argh...
