    Hi all,

In anticipation of the iPhone coming out in the UK I am wondering if the iPhone has the ability to divert calls. I am talking about when it is out of signal area is there a facility for the phone to divert calls to another number as I can do with my current phone?

I am only asking because I cannot get an O2 signal in the house but I can get a Vodafone signal. The plan is therefore to get an iPhone and then set it up so that when I have no signal i.e. at home, I can get the calls diverted to a cheap pay as you go phone so that I can still recieve calls and have an iPhone. The best of both worlds I guess.

Any answers/comments are appreciated. Also I would welcome suggestions on how else I can go about the situation.

    Thanks

    Mark

There is a call forwarding setting in the settings. If you know you are going to be out of the calling area, you just enter a phone number into the settings and the phone will then ring to that number. I think this sounds like what you are asking about.
