Hey, sorry I haven't connected in all day, I was switching the HDD in my PB from one in an iBook and boy that iBook is very difficult to disassemble. I will be online later today.

My errors are more sporadic. Sometimes I connect just fine. Other times I can't connect at all.

I've seen a lot of you guys online and I've tried joining the games but most of the time I get an error or game full message.

Dammit I want to be playing COD4 right now Anyways I have a question, does anyone know when Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA IV are coming out? Im eagerly waiting for those games, so much that I won't purchase any game until those are out.

I'm up for playing with everyone sometime soon. The only problem is the time zone issue, since I'm in Japan.
There are people online almost every time I get on....10 am to 2 am.....MacR is a strong presence online....
Almost at every hour there is someone. Im online from 8am to like 1 or 2am (Im not playing during that time but I check both this thread and the poeple online playing) We got some good players of COD4 here in MacRumors although some are not that good -ahem- me...
I could be better although I have pwned some users PS: I won't be online 'til thursday since Im a family trip and the internet is not fast enough for online gaming and I don't have the PS3 near me.

I have had call of suty now for about a month and it takes me like 4 mins to connent to a game somtimes even longer. today i bought a jabra 125 headset and it is saying error when i try and sink it with my ps3 is there anything i can do and are these headsets any good ? thanks

I have that exact same headset and found it pretty decent considering what its worth. Are you using the proper code to pair it? I believe its 0000 . Why does it take 4 mins to connect, slow internet perhaps?

I usually connect very very quickly...ever since the last update I have spent no longer than 5 seconds looking for a game and 20 seconds loading and connecting to the game....which as you know is very very fast due to the load times and countdown once it has loaded!

Wow I wish I had 18mbps... Anyway, are you to far of the wireless router?? When I had the PS3 in the living room and far from the AirPort it took years for the thing to sign in to the PSN (I didn't have cod4 for that time). Im wireless too, on a 2mbps and almost all the time have full signal although sometimes in the middle of the game it drops the connection but it regains it after a while. I honestly think is that. Also, it doesn't matter (assuming you have full signal strength) if you're wireless, as long as the broadband is under 54mbps ethernet and wi-fi are the same (of course ethernet can get much more higher in data transfers) ; 802.11g has a limit of 54mbps.
BTW- I'll be online later today yay!!

I was pretty amazed to see a lot of PS3 owners here. Mostly cause I know about 5 people who own one (including myself).
Me too, the vast majority of my friends own 360s back at home, so its cool to see everyone here with a PS3.
