when you call someone on the iphone its the minutes that are used correct and not the data from your data plane?

cause i've read somewhere that its the data that is used to call.. lol

Kind of a silly question, but of course a regular phone call uses your phone minutes. Data is used for most everything else. Of course texting is separate also.
