Any other 1TB Touchbar owners experiencing lag on their machines? Particularly in Safari when typing in the address bar, clicking on your favorites bar, switching between tabs...

I get considerable lag. 3-4 seconds delay before text is input, or the action completes (switching tabs, opening a new page), where the beachball pops up and spins.

I had this happen on 2 1TB machines, but not on any other configurations. Both are refurbs, so I don't know if that is a factor.

Both were fine in the first few days, but started having the problem after 1 week.

Are you on the latest version of Sierra and Safari?

I have a 2.7GHz 512 SSD and I'm not getting any lag from those areas you mentioned, the only place I'm getting the beach ball is when watching videos. I can't figure it out because some HD video on you tube will play perfectly in 1080 but others will start playing and then the cursor will all of a sudden turn into the spinning beach ball and it freezes up safari, I can't use the esc key, I can't use the cursor at all, the only thing I can do is close the laptop, wait 5-8 seconds open the lid and the video will start playing again and the cursor re-appears. This has happened about 6 or 8 times and I can't figure out why. Is it because the internal processor is slow? or is it a software update needed?

I'm in the latest Sierra 10.12.4 and Safari 10.1

Yes. I am up to date.

Maybe it is software if you are experiencing it too. You don't get it when switching tabs, typing in the address bar, or clicking on your favorites bar?

Only time I've seen the beach ball is running files in Adobe Creative Cloud, but those are large files. Everything else is super fast.

I had some beach balls in Safari early on, much less frequently now. But I rarely restart it, maybe once every couple weeks. When I get one I close the active tab and reopen it from history, and that's usually it. (Once I found a webpage that it just wouldn't deal with.) Don't think the configuration is likely to matter in this, but I have the 2.7 512 455.

1TB:460:2.9GHz machine here. I haven't noticed any lag in the situations that you've mentioned. I sometimes get scrolling lag on content heavy pages until a page fully loads in Safari (I get this on the 12" rMB as well) and a tiny lag sometimes when switching between apps.

Safari keychain when used with iCloud lags all the time for me. Has to be something to do with the Touch ID functionality.

mac book pro touch 1TB 16GB RAM even with 10.12.6 still beach ball. i guess this depends how big your chain is. i have 1984 items in the icloud keychain.

I thought I was the only one with this issue, I have a 13" 512Gb 16Gb of ram WITH the Touch Bar and the beach ball only pops up in Safari, when opening a new tab and clicking on the address bar just like you mentioned. It's obviously a software problem since there's no way a machine 2 years old could start showing aging.
