I still kinda collect them. I grew up when they were popular but i never owned one then. I've owned a few now but the only ones i currently have are a product red nano 7 that gets occasional use and a white touch 4th gen on the way as well as a product red shuffle 4th gen my brother uses regularly.

Ever since my oem battery finally died, I’ve been having issues with the replacement batteries, they barely stay charged now. IMHO, I wish Apple would step in and sell us the batteries or parts to that extent.

Car manufacturers are reaching into the old car parts market, wish Apple would with their devices but fat chance I think.

iPhone was never a substitute for iPod to me. Too bulky in comparison. The iPod was tiny, slim, light, and could easily slide into pants or shirt pocket. Also iPhone inexplicably never had FM radio. Some Android phones did and still do. I always thought there was a profit motive behind that, or else Apple thought no one cared about radio (like headphone jack or home button).

Never? What iPhone and iPod models are you comparing? The original iPhone was about the same width and only about 1/2 inch (or less) taller, but notably thinner and lighter than the original and other early standard/classic iPods.

iPod Nano (I meant), not the Classic. I wasn't clear.

Not an iPod collector but do have an iPod Nano 3rd gen 8gb that I use for walks and workouts. I love this little device. It actually gets louder than my iPhone. The nostalgia of the click wheel is priceless.

I have a 5th classic that sadly has a bad battery. Bought one for aliexpress but it died like 4-5 months ago.

Also, the HDD is dying too. Will need to change a lot of things to make it work
