iOS Calling Virtual Keyboard (With Bluetooth Device/Keyboard/Scanner)

for my my app, I'm trying to call the virtual keyboard while using a bluetooth barcode scanner.


the device, whether iPad, iTouch, iPhone, will not draw up the keyboard when i need to fill out information on a text field. (I'm assuming the device thinks that the barcode scanner is a keyboard)

calls the virtual keyboard when you press a button, and the keyboard is connected via bluetooth.



how can i call this function? does anyone know how? i know this is new, and it wasn't in iOS4.

I've been trying to contact their developers to ask how they did it, but not having much luck.

I'm pretty sure the case is just using the OS level support for Bluetooth keyboards and not doing anything itself.

Any solution?

It is annoying that if a BT KB is active, you loose any virtual KB, and get hard to do certain characters.
