Calls complain of "Frying Bacon" noise on AirPods Pro :/

This only started happening in the last 3 weeks. I thought the firmware would take care of it, but every time I use my AirPod Pro for calls my friends/clients ask "hey, are you frying bacon over there!?". They'e become unusable for calls/zooms. Which really stinks.

And I can't hear it on my end, at all!

I've restarted, rebooted, connected, unconnected, and connected again.

Any ideas? tia

Have you checked that you’re not actually frying bacon over there? Would also explain the odour you refer to.

If they are within their warranty period, take them to Apple for replacement.

HAHAHA what a way to describe an issue. Never heard this noise problem though so I suggest you take them to Apple for a repair/swap.

I know this is a month old now but if your APP were purchased prior to October 2020, they would qualify for this extended warranty program:

I had mine replaced earlier this year due to crackling sounds and static bursts happening with them.
