Camera alternative to avoid Photo Stream?

I love that we can now delete images from the photo stream, but I would still love the option to take photos and not have them uploaded to the stream in the first place. I use the camera to take pictures of things I don't need to save; things I need/want to buy, where i parked my car, etc. Yes I can delete these from the Photo Stream, but that is an extra step I would like to avoid.

Does anyone know any simply Camera applications that save images to their own files vice to the iPhone's Camera Roll?

I have searched but everything I find is overly complicated with too many features or does not use its own file system. The best option for me would be the exact copy of Apple's Camera app with a separate, isolated roll.

    Thanks.

God questions, but that is not convenient.

First, you have to go into Settings to turn Photo Stream off, then you have to go back into Settings to turn it back on. Second, once you turn it off, the iPhone deletes all of the photos from the stream, which then have to be re-downloaded after Photo Stream is turned back on.

If Apple provided a simply toggle within the Camera app and left the previously downloaded/saved Stream intact that would be great. Unfortunately, Apple did not set it up that way.

So, two apps, one with photo stream and one without, is, in my opinion, the easiest way to separate keepers and random non-keepers.

Thanks, downloaded and reviewed this morning. Nice app, but definitely more complex than I am looking for. I also do not like the Lightbox very much. Why not just a simple grid?

If you didn't like Camera+, "Camera!" is another one to try.

I think it exports to camera roll by default, but you can turn that off.

Thanks, I like Camera!. It has a lot of unnecessary features as well, but they are less obtrusive.

My only complaint with Camera! is that you can not copy the images in order to paste them into iMessage. Your only sharing options are social media, which I don't use, and email.

Camera+ has just release a major new update. And it is like the 10th best selling app in the app store!

Just curious what you find so complex about Camera+. In its simplest use case it's very similar to the stock Camera app.

If you could every get used to Lightbox, it at least allows you to copy the image to the clipboard for pasting into messages later. Just press and hold on the image as you would anywhere else.

And there are a few options for saving. So if you decided you wanted to start saving to Camera Roll you have that option.

Camera+ is definitely the best camera app available.

It also allows you to copy & paste as the OP requested.

I'm guessing they want photo stream, but not for every picture.

ProCamera is great for pro or semi-pro photogs. If you enable location services, your photos are saved to a ProCamera album separate from Camera Roll. Not sure if this is sent to iCloud, too. If you DON'T enable location, pix are saved to camera roll.
