Yesterday I got a friend a 2016 Asus 5.5" screen smartphone, I never owned an Android saved for a Note 2 which, years ago, I gave the same person but which I used for only a couple weeks, I was quite astonished at the possibility to set everything manually in the stock photo App on the Asus phone and wondering how poor is the one which comes with iOs, is there any third part app which makes up for this?

I know there are but how comes with Apple we have to buy and pay it all whilst with other brands/OS they come stock?

Thank you

p.s. if it could shoot RAW that would be so much better as jpg are quit ugly

With ProCam 4, you can shoot in raw, jpg and tiff.
Also look at Procamera and Camera+.
All have manual settings and also allow you to shoot in raw, jpg and tiff.
