Camera App - green dot?

What is the new green dot in the upper right corner?

Green dot should be for video and I believe the orange do it audio

Green dot means an app is using the camera, an orange dot means an app is using the microphone.

It's an effort on Apple's part for transparency in letting you know when app's are accessing your camera or microphone.

Yeah you are right. All apps I open that access the camera use this when the camera is on. Ok that makes sense, was jarring at first cause I hadn’t got around to using other apps yet.
