Please provide the model, OS version, software name and version (if not a stock app,) any hacks, etc, etc.

No hacks. iPhone 5. Standard camera app

Please take a screenshot and post it so we understand what you are talking about. (You can take a screenshot by pressing both the power button on the top and the home button on the front at the same time.

As far as I know, there is no way to make the 'front/rear camera switch button' disappear.
