Camera app - video slider gone - only camera

The iPhone 3GS use to take videos, now the slider to switch from camera to video is gone and I only get camera functions. Any ideas on how to restore the video slider? It's almost like a different app. How can I check?

I assume you have iOS 4 installed. Close the camera app then open the multitasking tray and kill it. Reopen it and you should have the video slider back. This happened to me a few times when I was using skype and tried to send mms at the same time. I believe it is fixed in iOS 5 though
