Version 24.4.1 released yesterday. "Bug fixes" but still no improvement in the real issues such as those above or internet and telephoto issues I’ve cited earlier in this thread.

Just turned it on today - been 2 weeks since I last used it. It was working then. I had the full version that cost $30-40 from a few years ago. now it wants me to subscribe. for $30+ a month, They can gtf. It look like i'm not the only one having the same issues. Their website doesn't work, is full of typos and support form doesn't submit. Tried uninstalling - reinstalling. didn't help. Restore button, doesn't work. Only Subscribe. Absolute thievery. it should;d be removed from the store. What a waste of money
When I updated yesterday the app presented a screen to subscribe. I was angry and then noticed a small "X" in the upper left corner. I closed the screen and all was good. They still haven't addressed the problem with the 5x telephoto. So I guess it's going to be minor bug fixes and that's all. Anyway, the Apple Camera app has gotten better so I'm mostly using that.
I saw the same thing so I clicked the X, but when I go in, all the pro features are locked. It's riddled with ads when you want to airdrop images, and you can just use the basic free version as was. Completely useless for what I use it for so its back to the default iPhone camera app which doesn't get me anywhere near the quality I need

Camera+ version 24.4.2 was released on February 6. This update requires those with Pro status to subscribe. This happened about a year ago, but was resolved by a subsequent update later that same day. Hopefully, that will happen this time, too. Please submit reviews in the App Store so the "developer" fixes this quickly.
It would be nice if the developer could speak to us more directly about their intentions. I feel like I'm being ghosted.
This is a "nightmare." This is my go to app for photo editing. When these guys took over a year or so ago I paid the premium subscription which was marketed as a lifetime subscription. Now they want $6.99 a week or $363.48 per year?? WTF!
The contact form on their website does not work. How is that even allowed if you are app developer on iTunes? I suspect that is 100% against Apple's Terms of Service. PLEASE, PLEASE complain. First this HUGE price increase is their prerogative, but what is not allowed is to banish everyone who paid before this new upgraded version of the site. They can't just wipe us all out and say touch sh*t!!

They seemed to react the last time people complained to Apple about the ToS. I paid the old developer and the new one finally honored my license.
I wrote Apple via their reporting link and I wrote the developer at, admin@heavyplumbapps.com. Scrubbing all subscriptions for a do-over at that new pricing, it's insane. Disabling their contact form.... not cool. I suggest anyone and everyone write them. If you had a subscription you should be grandfathered in, period.
I think they are just lazy or incompetent. They don't seem to be doing any development of the app and are just raking in as much $$$ as they can.
Ironically, it's still a good camera app. People are more accepting of subscriptions so it may work out for them. They just need to straighten out keeping us OPs happy.
Supposedly they added a bunch of new AI features. Ok.... but you can't cancel everyone that has already been on the app and just say it's a "do over' for 7 to 5 times the original price every single year! That's nuts.
They should be forced to grandfather everyone that was already on the app to remain at their subscription level, not be able to just cut you off or charge you more UNLESS you wanted to access new features for example. You should be able to remain at your original feature level........ AND the fact that their contact form is disabled is insane. No one gets a pass on that. There is ZERO chance iTunes/app store terms of service etc would allow a vendor to not allow customers to contact them.
New version 24.4.3 just released February 13 allows Pro access to previous purchasers of lifetime through LateNiteSoft. However I still have the following issues with the app.
- The Submit button on developer website contact page (https://www.heavyplumbapps.com/#contact) does not submit message.
- The app doesn’t go beyond splash screen if no internet connection, e. g., remote location or airplane mode. One temporary workaround is to open the app when internet is available and then don’t close it if lose connectivity.
- The lens switcher button allows me to choose between ultra-wide (0.5x), wide (1x) and telephoto ("2x") cameras. However, the telephoto camera on my iPhone 15 Pro Max is a 5x lens, not a 2x. The magnification label doesn’t reflect the actual magnification. In fact, when I switch from 1x to "2x" in Auto mode the image doubles in magnification. On the other hand, when I switch from 1x to "2x" in Manual mode, the image is magnified by a factor of 5. Very strange, considering that there is only one telephoto camera on my iPhone! I need to be able to use my 5x telephoto camera in Auto mode.
- The app doesn’t incorporate iOS 18 features such as Lock Screen and Control Center buttons.
- I don’t have an iPhone 16. However, since I’ve seen no evidence to the contrary, I suspect that the new Camera Control button can’t be used with Camera+.

Are you saying that Camera+ isn’t one of the options when you go to
Settings > Camera > Camera Control?
Use the Camera Control to open another app on iPhone
On iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, change the Camera Control to open the Magnifier app, the Code Scanner, or a third-party app. You can also set the Camera Control to not open any app when clicked.

What is " LateNiteSoft "? I just went into the app and it seems to be working like nothing ever happened!
Camera+ was developed by LateNightSoft. The app was taken over by Heavy Plumb (no explanation given for why) in 2023. LateNightSoft subsequently developed Photon.
Version 24.5.0 released February 19. No improvement in the above important issues. Only"Bug fixes and UI improvements."
I'll be darned if I can find any UI improvements. I know it's a boilerplate description but it's like this is on autopilot.
