Whenever I go near the computer, the screen always went dim.
I wasn't sure why at first, but by covering the camera with my finger and seeing that the brightness was significantly decreased, I realised that it was the camera that was doing it.

Thing is, I don't want this to happen, especially when I can adjust the brightness easily.

Any way how?

System Preferences > Displays > Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes

The ambient light sensor is located near the iSight.
