I am looking on a new display from acer, with a microphone and camera integrated.
to be plugged with a mac mini 2020

Is the macmini will be able to use it? if yes, which connection is needed?

HDMI and DisplayPort aren't going to carry the mic and camera.

The monitor seems to have USB-C, there isn't a lot of information available for this monitor but if it accepts input via USB-C, it is possible the camera and mic will be carried across that single connection.

Worst case scenario you connect the Mini via HDMI and a second cable, probably USB-C, to carry the mic and camera (along with access to the other ports on the monitor).

Yes... but you will be connecting HDMI for the video signal and the cable to the USB upstream port for the webcam and mics.

Whoops, thought I saw USB-C.

So for video you can use HDMI or DisplayPort (with an adapter) and you’ll also have to connect it via USB to use the cameras, mic, and other USB ports.

I would just use HDMI, DisplayPort doesn't give you any particular advantage at this resolution (someone can correct me if I am wrong).

Acer was a terrible choice. Very bad screen . And beside the camera was not compatible with Mac
