hello guys, i tried to follow ifixit guide to replace my superdrive with as SSD in late 2011 13 inch MBP. while everything was fine, i damaged the isight camera cable only to find out there was no need to pull it!
anyway, i tried to fix it and in the end, it snapped off, with the connected still attached with the motherboard. looks like the camera cable is part of a very big groups of cables and looks very difficult to replace without replacing the display itself! and that will cost a fortune in uk!

is there any better way? please please please help.

My recommendation at this point would be to look for a good deal on a used clamshell for the machine, the part number is 661-5868. Unfortunately this isn't going to be a cheap mistake to fix :(
