Same when compared to XS Max. Seems the low light function is just a faster Neuralcam app.I can barely tell a difference between most of those.

They're very close, but I feel like I'm seeing slightly more detail in the iPhone photos. The Note photos seem to blow out some of the detail in the process of making the colors brighter.I can barely tell a difference between most of those.
Size of the pixels matters as well as the number of pixels. If you are going to use the picture for Instagram (or view it in any other way that involves low res display) then, sure, 8MP is fine. If you have a quality display or want to print it, say, 8x10 then you'd better have more than 12MP.You would think that MacRumors would know by now that the number of pixels (or megapixels) has very little to do with quality. They aren’t the same.
the size of the individual pixels themselves, the size of the sensor, and the lens are what matter.
In the SLR camera world it’s easier to see: I would take a 8MP photo on a full frame lens ANY DAY over a 12MP image from an iPhone.
that said, these both have good photo abilities, but stop equating number of pixels to being higher/lower quality - there is so much more that actually matters
I disagree on "less buggy" as I type this on the Note 10+. Random frame drops, zooming is awkward and stuttery on the cam, and it seems to be registering multi-touch at times during a single touch. I was hoping all the rumors of these things existing wasn't true when switching back to Android after the Pixel and then the Xr. Was so stoked for this phone, and it isn't "bad", it has a lot of things I like--but there are more dislikes than I thought I would have. The pen is fun for a while, samsung pay is legit. It has a ton of features that I thought j would use more, but don't, and even my friend who has had a Note since they started making time doesn't use half the stuff I can do. I'm sure somebody will use it, but not me. Only had it 6 days, and on day 7 or 8 it will be back at Verizon.iPhone has that hepatitis skin tone (Dan's face), salmon/wasabi look spoiled and there's more distortion in the ultra wide while having less FoV (bend of street pole) otherwise it boils down to preference of naturally dull or more pleasing photos. Overall, the Note is the more capable and future proof package with more uninterrupted screen area, pen support, DeX, better ultra wide angle camera, less buggy, etc.
You are correct. There is a terribly insecure Face unlock and the fingerprint which works great until the random times it doesn't.I’ve noticed what you’re talking about but I did not have the knowledge of the terminology to express it. I first noticed it in taking a cat photo. My 11 Pro captured every nuance of green in my cat’s eyes. My Note 10+ turned her eyes a strange blue. Like it just couldn’t render the shades of green and yellow necessary to accurately reproducing the color.
I kind of liked the sharpening at first. But over time I realized I was mistakenly equating it with better capture and retention of detail.
This article needs a correction. There is no iris scanner on the Note 10/10+. Unless I’ve somehow horribly overlooked it somehow.

I think, like most, it takes times to "grow on you" and doesn't look as bad in person as in photos of it. Also, while I was totally against it at first, it does set it a part/ make it instantly recognizable. It makes no sense for adding more lenses and Samsung rear camera lens doesn't look so awkward like the iPhone Max.
There must be something terribly wrong with your Note 10+ if you are seeing frame drops. Definitely return it and go back to iPhone. iOS 13 is an awesomely fun, smooth, and bug-free experience.
And....? So by that token, you think the note looks amazing as well. Thanks for your honesty sir..iPhone 11 Pro Max camera looks amazing!!!
But they didnt.. so sadly.. they cant...It’s pretty close, but I bet Apple could edge out the Galaxy S10 but adding a better ultra wide camera with optical image stabilization and support for night mode.
Sad that they cant see the difference, or sad that they dont agree with your obviously biased opinion? Sad!IPhone is way better in color distribution / range. Color Is horrible in Note 10. Seems to be always a tad blue and also shows reduced/poor amount of variation in the luminance channel. The note 10 also seems to be adding sharpening through filtering. iPhone is the big f winner here. I’m surprised people can’t see the difference. Sad...
To clarify, it seems it’s sad “that they can’t see the difference.” Sad!But they didnt.. so sadly.. they cant...

I honestly think it's just a Samsung thing at this point. Reception for calls and data is seemingly worse (at least in my area) as well, which I was surprised by because Qualcomm seems to generally be better than Intel Intel that dept. I don't know if iOS is bug free, as there have been multiple updates already, but hey at least they're working on it. Definitely a good update from 12 to 13. I'll be switching to the Pro Max today.
To clarify, when you clarify something, you have to use different words than the original poster to make your point, not the same sentence, that's called repeating yourself! Sad.!To clarify, it seems it’s sad “that they can’t see the difference.” Sad!
note 10 camera is very good but when it comes to cameras the iphone is the top dog with the pixel line. samsung are still slightly behind the comp in overall camera quailty.And....? So by that token, you think the note looks amazing as well. Thanks for your honesty sir..![]()
Yes, sad indeed! Point made.To clarify, when you clarify something, you have to use different words than the original poster to make your point, not the same sentence, that's called repeating yourself! Sad.!
If you have to blow up an image to 100% for your “...so Important to me...” detail you may be losing sight of the entire image. Photographers are their own worse enemy, worrying about things a client will never notice nor care about. The client concern is “does the photo grab them, cause an emotion, tell a story”. Both eye cutting sharpness and detail are near the bottom of their concern. Look at images sold for over one million dollars, they did not sell because of sharpness and finite detail. Remember Ansel Adams quote: ”There’s nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept”.Can we see some at 100% to see fine detail and noise reduction? That is so important to me.
