Camera connection kit

Does anyone know of any way to use the camera connection kit to access a usb memory stick or HDD and play video?

Some folks have gotten USB Thumb Drives to work by storing files in the directory most cameras use for files, the DCIM folder or something like that. You should be able to find detailed instructions with an Internet search or two.

I know you can't use USB Hard Drives without jail breaking - even then, the iPad doesn't put out much juice, so you might not be able to use most USB powered drives.
