Does anyone know a good camera/mic that will work on a MacMini? I have been told firewire ones, but I don't know where to look for those. ALso, not sure if I will be getting an intel mini or a powerpc. Still looking on the best deal I can get... So if possible, suggestions for each would be nice.

Sony handycam

Most Sony HDR camcorders work perfect with Mac mini. It depends on your requirements, of course, but I would not bother with models below $600. They are simply not worth it. Mac mini has no problems with downloading high definition video whatsoever, so you might want to go for a model that supports this format because the quality is great and gives you extra options over the standard video formats. I would advise to take a firewire camcorder because firewire is more stable at this time of writing.

I use a Sony HDR FX1 myself, with miniDV, but you have models with a harddrive these days which download faster.

Hope this helps making a choice?

My Personal favourite is the Eyetoy Camera!!! i used it allot and it works 100000% ! just get a copy of eyetoy for PS2 and install macam (usb driver for lots of cameras) also check out theire website to see which webcams are supported! I think even the new Playstation EYE is working !

of course buying a Firewire isight would be the best.. but not the cheapest!
