Hi. Last night i made the firmware update to 15.2. One thing i noticed is that the moment i open the camera app the image “blinks” for a fraction of a second.
Exit the app and open it again, doesn’t happen anything and is all smooth.
Exit the app, force close it by swiping up, and open it, the “blink” happens again. Is this normal? I don’t think I’ve seen this on 15.1.1

Maybe you should consider doing restart the phone couples of time.

I did force restart, regular shutdown, force restart again, is the same.
Is the glitch

visible in this screen recording?

I do NOT have this with 15.2. What defaults is your camera app opening to? Mine is set to Photo with Standard Photographic style - Live Photo = OFF. If ON you get the flicker.

Is not that. It does it also in whatsapp camera. I had a chat with Apple Support and they recommended a full factory reset. I’m on 20% battery so i’ll do it after it charges.
Apple tested the hardware and is fine. They asked me to test the lenses also, one by one, and the selfie camera is fine, the telephoto is fine, I couldn’t test the ultra wide because i dont know a way for it to remember to open in 0.5 after i close the camera. So the 1x camera is the problem. Maybe has something to do with the stabilisation.

Noticed this on 13 PM and 11 Pm. If you close the camera app and open the camera from the lockscreen it does not do it. If you close it after opening it from the lockscreen, it won’t blink when you open it from the springboard.

My 13 Pro does it (15.2). Never noticed it until after reading this thread, and it happens so quick it's almost unnoticeable unless you're looking for it. Nothing to worry about IMO, I couldn't even bring the camera up and shoot a picture that quickly.

Could be related to focus. It does not do it in low light or when you have something closer to the camera.

I also noticed this on 15.2. Never happened on anything prior.

Doesn’t seem to affect function so I’m not too concerned about it. But you’re not crazy!

I wonder if it would really help making a backup, resetting and recovering from an iCloud backup. Did anyone did the factory reset after the update?

There's not a chance in the world that I'd go through all that for a minor bug that doesn't affect how I use the phone in any way. ?

I did a DFU restore of 15.2 and nothing changed, it is still the same. It is a minor bug, happens with the front camera too.
