Camera impressions on IOS 16? (And comparisons to IOS 15)

This has been a source of frustration to me in iOS 15 and 16 since I got my 13 Pro Max. Apps don't use the capabilities of the camera properly. For example FaceTime works well in darker conditions but WhatsApp looks horrible. Same in other apps with the macro camera, as you noted. But it's app issues, not OS issues I think

This is feedback is purely on bets user. I'm not a beta user but just curious on camera performance on the new ios.

Somewhat improved cinematic video mode on iPhone 13 series

I would generally never expect to see much difference in camera performance or features during the beta. Typically the new iPhones have new camera features that are kept under wraps in the OS until the new hardware is introduced in September. The cinematic video mode improvements cited above are about the only time I can think of that the betas introduced anything new for existing cameras.
