Camera in sync but video not displaying when capturing

Ahh my final cut is playing hard with me. I've done video setup a few times, and changed the settings as much as possible, the camera is in sync, i can even rewind or fast forward or stop, i have a time code displaying, but i can't see the video on my screen, even if it is being displayed in the camera. I recorded at 50i, and before that i recorded at 60i and that part of the video was displayed just fine, any suggestions?

I assume this is an HDV camcorder you're working with?

well i recorded with an hdv camera, but recorded in dvcam mode, and i'm importing with a regular sony handycam cause the hdv's ilink is not working, the handycam can play the tapes and had no trouble dealing with the 60i

dv 50 NTSC 48khz using firewire ntsc

the handycam it's a sony dcr-hc42 ntsc and the one i used to record it's a sony hvr-z1n
