Is there any way to take smaller than 3264 × 2448 pics
not that i know of. not unless theres an app in the app store that can take lower resolution pictures.
Why do you want smaller? I'd import them onto my iMac and use LR. You could use an App like Repin Pixel Art Studio if you want to do it on the iOS device. Sorry should have said, this is to edit a picture to make it a different size. There may well be apps to take a lower res shot.
Short answer time is money
Long answer i have to insert several pic's into daily reports "daily" and the size of pics from iphone are way too large to do this in one step costs $$. Also bandwidth issues with these large files they take longer to upload and use more of my data costs $$$.
You would think that "the most sophisticated" phone in the world would have an option to set pic quality like any other camera/phone.
You need a real camera for that feature. Then you can add zoom to the mix and the ability to manual focus and whatnot.
I would have to disagree with u there I hate to admit this but the phone war is being won by Android.
What app are you using to generate the reports? Word? Most word processors will let you resize the pics on the page then compress the images to reduce the overall size of the file, try doing that.
According to this article, I learned that third party apps on both platforms can take a lower rez shot from the git go via a setting.
I am using Excel (MS office 2011 for Mac) and the pics when imported cover about 3-4 pages which on a 13" MBP makes it a pain to resize.
You can set the rez on the stock camera app on Android.
This " Buy another App" seems to be the theme for Apple these days just another bit of proof that Apple is losing the phone war. I swear in the past 3 weeks since i went from Android to Iphone i have purchased more 3rd party apps than i ever have. Since Steve passed, Apple has turned into a very different company.
Love the iphone hardware but software seems to be lacking
Apple should install that feature as stock. I was admiring my nephew's Droid Turbo on Christmas day. What a sensible design that needs no case whatsoever. 3 gigs of ram and battery power to spare. (I still dig my 6 plus regardless.)
