Hello i seem to notice a small scratch at the top part of the camera lens on my new iPhone 13 pro which is 2 days old it doesn’t seem to be affecting the quality of photos but it’s bothering me a lot. What to do can anyone please suggest. Do i need to go ask for a replacement or the service centre to replace the lenses.

A new iPhone can be returned for full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason at all. Apple won’t even ask why.

Are you sure. Or can i just ask the lens to be replaced.
In most, but not all, countries you can return for a full refund for no reason in the first 14 days, and Apple is happy to do so. This is much preferred to asking for a repair, and anyway it is likely that Apple will refuse to repair it in the first 14 days and instead replace the entire iPhone.
Caution: presumably the scratch was there when it arrived, not caused by you. If you say that you scratched it, this may cause an issue returning it, I don't know.
btw, I can't see a scratch on the lens in your photo. Reflections in lenses can deceptively look like defects, so make sure the "scratch" does not move with the angle you look at it.
If you are seeing a mark on the extreme outer perimeter of one of the lenses (which is actually a sapphire lens cover protecting the actual camera lens below), this will have zero effect on the photos. It may even be able to be cleaned off (carefully).

Hard to see on your photo exactly where the problem is.

You can always try to get it repaired, but repair has its own risks and costs. Any repair will not leave the device in the same "new" condition, as they need to take it all apart. You are better off returning it for a new one if you have the option.

I reside in India and m not sure if they do replace the device. I checked with the retailer who sold the phone to me and he told me that replacement is only within 4 days of purchase and if it’s only a manufacturing defect.

is it possible to get the lens cleaned. I checkEd with the retailer and he says replacement is only within 4 days of purchase and only if there is a manufacturing defect.

Apple and anyone else would only replace or fix something if it's a manufacturing defect. Otherwise it would be caused by the owner, which is never covered by a warranty.

I cant see it in your photo, is it on an actual lens or the larger square bump?

You cant clean a scratch; it’s possible you could have it polished out but I'm not sure how well that would work with the Safire glass lenses. If this kind of thing bother you then you need a case, like Otterbox, which is thicker than the camera lenses. My suggestion is to learn to live with it since it doesn't affect the photos. Contact Apple and ask them where you would need to bring your phone.

Can you replace the lens for a fee at the service centre.

Have you contacted Apple support for this? Make sure to be adamant that this is out of the box, not caused by you.
I just saw it now and it’s 10pm here in India so will contact the service centre tomorrow but wanted more info about what problem was before hand

You should contact Apple support online first. Not the service centre. As you know, Apple service centres in India are third party centres, not owned by Apple.

Contact Apple support online (telephone/chat) and describe the issue to them. They will create an appointment for you. A service centre will be more likely to side with your version of events if the appointment is directed by Apple themselves, rather than you walking in on your own.

If that scratch bothers you, return the phone and buy another new one.
