Hi all

I often use the camera remote app when taking photos with family on a tripod. In photos where I'm in the picture, I hold the AW in my hand and click. The issue is that I'm looking at the phone/camera and clicking blindly. The camera remote app capture button is too small so I sometimes click the capture screen on the watch so instead of taking the photo, I'm zooming into the capture screen.

Is there an app that just has a big button on the face of the watch? Bonus points if the app could disable the 4-digit passcode temporarily because it's annoying that it also sometimes pops up when as the sensor underneath is triggered somehow.

Thanks

I am confused when you say “the capture screen on the watch”. On my camera app you have one button set at 3 second timer and 3 dots that take you to the settings. No capture screen button.
Surely just use the scroll wheel on the watch to select picture size and hit the 3 second timer button. Put your hand down and look at the camera.

Not capture screen button but there is a screen that takes up the majority of the screen showing the Live Photo. I just want a button there.

These are for photos where I am in and I am looking at the camera, not the watch, hence the request

The screen and the scroll wheel are there so you can compose the frame accurately.
As I mentioned previously; why not just use the 3 second timer button. It’s enough time to hold your watch up on your wrist, press the timer button, put your arm down and look at the camera.

There are other apps out there, but as far as I can tell they are for triggering other types of cameras, such as GoPro, or for triggering from one iPhone/iPad to another iPhone/iPad, or for other brands of smart watches.

First suggestion is try looking through the app store, maybe there is one with the interface you are describing that works from Apple Watch to iPhone. Otherwise the Apple-provided app is all we have.

Second suggestion is to get a dedicated Bluetooth camera remote to hold in your hand instead of the watch. They only cost a few bucks.
