I know that I am able to take a picture with timer after 3 or 10 second countdown. But can it be done every 3 or 10 second and take a few pictures, rather than just one? I want to automatically take a few pictures with the use of timer....

The Camera app's timelapse feature isn't really configurable. You might be better off finding a third-party camera app that is.

Aye, I was just wondering it that was a useable free option - Is it possible to easily extract single frames from a timelapse?

this is easily achieved using ShortCuts:

adjust the number of photos taken, the interval, as well as to which album the photos are saved and save it to the homescreen.
