Is anyone using camera +? The app for $1.99? How is it?
For me it has replaced the native camera app. I keep the original camera app nearby in case I need to shoot video.
Camera+ was recently pulled from the app store for allowing users to toggle a hidden option to use the volume buttons to snap photos... which is a fantastic feature btw.
My i4's jailbroken, and I have it set up to boot Camera+ for a quick photo if I push volume down and up in succession regardless of what app I'm in.
It's wired that the developers haven't showed up a response after this incident. None of em' has ever tweeted or blogged since then. They just disappeared.
I'm hoping Camera + is NEVER upgraded if they have to remove the feature. I would rather see a "sequel" to the app, so the current version is left untouched. The feature to use a physical button to shoot is priceless, and I can't see why Apple didn't do this themselves.
How do you enable the volume down button to take photos? What version do you need?
Just purchased and downloaded. Pretty cool app .
How did you purchase it now? It's not on the store anymore.
you fool its not available anymore, wished i would have bought it in time :-(
It is on store camera plus pro @ $1.99.
I purchased it.
That's not Camera+.
Camera+ is FAR superior. Camera Plus is a totally different app.
I bought the Camera+ while it was on sale for $0.99
Now I forgot to back it up... what would I do ?
This is the one that has been pulled from the App store now:
I managed to get it before it was pulled. I think it is great and it has replaced the standard camera app for me.
i wish you could email apps and share them, like with friends and family..not mass sharing. LOL.
The op is obviously a scammer
Thanks man works great
Camera Plus basically used Camera+'s name to get people to buy their app. It's nowhere near the quality of Camera+.
Can't believe Apple lets these kinds of things slide threw the App Store. It's not exactly a copyright but it can confuse most people. Not fair that these people are taking advantage of people via Apple.
So what's the next best camera app out there now?
the irony of the whole thing is-Apple rejected the button function of camera+ because of the whole "user confusion" thing, yet they'll allow apps like this that just capitalize on name recognition of another app. I seem to recall a handylight clone (sans tethering of course) that did the same thing.
call me crazy but these copycat apps seem more confusing than a setting that you have to enable yourself.
You can always try my app, Camera Prime #4 Free Photography App in US App Store
Camera Plus and Camera Plus Pro came first. You're right -- they are nowhere near as good as Camera+ was.
Here's a scammy app taking advantage of the Camera+ name... Real Camera+. It's a horrible app that should be avoided.
Here's a post about it:
And to be fair, here's a review of the app:
It's not even a good camera replacement on its own. It's a low-end image editor that saves low resolution files.
You should make it free for Canada too.
