Disagreed! Did it a few times in NYC (5th ave. store) and it's not a nightmare at all. There's hundreds and hundreds of people yes, but that only makes it more fun. The energy is crazy amazing!

Did you do it last year? These days it's all scalpers reselling to the Chinese market. I'm hoping there will be less of them this year though.

Oh no, haven't done it in a few years. Maybe it's different now and I've heard about how bad scalpers have gotten.

I'll be camping out for UPS near the vicinity of my front door with an IPA in my hand. When he/she arrives, I'll be wearing white gloves to accept the delivery. After UPS leaves, I'll place it on the coffee table, sit back, and puff on a cigar while admiring the package...

I have done the get in line early usually around 4 am, it was fun the first few times now I order at 3:01am on pre order day and pick a time to pickup the phone. I will probably arrive just before 8:00am on the 25th grab a coffee and pickup my phone at 9:00am

I wonder how long the line will be this year

Don't be a party pooper. I camped out once for the 5s because pre order wasn't available for that model. It was a pretty cool experience got to meet people
who were tech junkies like myself, but probably not doing it again lol. That being said, everyone who is an Apple fan should do it at least once. I've been pre ordering and been loving that for the previous years.

Sorry, I can't see myself standing in line for anything any more. I gave that kind of stuff up in college.

OP, you do know that you can still pre-order, just having to wait a bit longer for it to arrive. Hope you are not going to bring your kid there to this waiting in line thing.

LOL why pre order and wait when i can stand in line and get it before most people that will be waiting on the fedex/ups man. the kid will be with his mother that night LOL.
