There's no reason to do something this stupid. With the cheapest price being 799.99, they're not going to sell out.
I’m heading to my store in the UK before I go to work, taking the chance they have stock but don’t think they’ll sell out of the 12.9 Silver 512GB Pro too quickly due to the price!
In a time of online preorders, the fact that this is an iPad launch and what with same day store pickup functionality going live at approx 6am across timezones I can’t see many joining you
whats your source for this? have been trying to pin down when exactly store pickups go live.
This is dumb when you can just order to pick up in store.

The thought of camping out for something is just so funny to me. There is no product ever made that is sold at a retail store that interests me enough to camp out waiting for it, even if I had to wait an extra few weeks to get it. And in this case, I’d be shocked if I couldn’t walk into a store at any time tomorrow and pick one up.
It’s not dumb. It’s fun, and to each his own. Enjoy and have fun.

I checked it myself with Sidney, Perth, Singapore and Hong Kong, at 6AM the store pickup option went live.
Do you know if this means you can purchase for pickup via the Apple education website?
