Yeah this is a noobish question but can iPad 2 be jail broken on the iPad 2? If not, should I upgrade to 5.0 or 5.0.1? Thanks for the help.

Can 4.3.5 be jailbroken on the iPad 2?

you can only upgrade to 5.0.1 now, and since you can't jailbreak on 4.3.5, i suggest to upgrade now. say 5.1 or 5.0.2 comes out, any jailbreak they're working on now (and may release) may cease to work...so, you're back where you're at now.
so, my suggestion is to upgrade.
personally, i'm on 5.0 hoping for a jailbreak on this version...and won't upgrade until:
a. they come out and say no jailbreak for 5.0
b. new features in next upgrade are too good to pass up

you should save your SHSH blobs for 5.0.1 and stay on 4.3.5 if you can for now... if a jailbreakme.com kind of jailbreak comes out for 4.3.5 , then you will be out of luck if you are already on 5.0.1 and no way to go back to 4.3.5 as you cant save shsh Blobs for it any more...
search for tiny umbrella and search on how to save shsh blobs ... every time there is a apple upradge , just save your shsh blobs on ur computer using tinyumbrella
Yeah I saved my blobs. 5.0.1 and 5.1b1 (which I didn't even know about).

its your choice.... chances are if we get a jailbreak most likely it will be for 5.0.1 as i don't think it will just be for 4.3.5 atleast... so its your choice. ..
just remember while doing that, there is no way you will be able to go back to any 4.XX ios after your upgrade

you are not losing any thing else, its like like iPhone where baseband matters some times ...
yaa that's what i meant ...base-band does not matter (if you have a 3g at&t model its unlocked any ways)
I do indeed have that model. I guess I'll go and update. Does it make the iPad any faster or anything? Or does it just add notifications and such.
Nevermind, used the Tiny Umbrella method to do it. Looks like it's working now.
