i run 10.4 currently, but read that the classic environment is much better in 10.2.
if so, what kind of dvd do i need to burn onto?
i've got the .dmg from macintosh garden.

Yes.

You need a 10.2.7 DVD that has been patched to no longer check the machine ID.

I recall that some group of propellor-heads at GitHub or similar had somehow merged the best features of the various "cat" OSes, and that ran faster on less memory without bugs. If anyone remembers the name or the project, or can link it it, that would be awesome.
