Hi!

My tempered glass screen protector cracked after falling onto carpet yesterday, and I'm talking to the company about it. Anyway, I was wondering if shards from the broken screen protector could scratch my iPhone screen? (And if they can, I hope they haven't already.)

Thanks!
Ari

Wow, sorry! What brand of screen protector was it, if you don't mind my asking?

It was http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-shatterguardz-tempered-glass-screen-protector, I've gone through 2, I thought it hit my metal chair, but I guess it's just you get what you pay for. And I guess it's not really a discount, apparently it's just cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-SHATTERGUARDZ-Premium-Tempered-Protector/dp/B00IUQ41GA

Ah well, guess I just have to go with another brand, do you have any recommendations (iPhone 6)?

Also, is there any reason not to leave the broken one on there?

I would remove it. Anyways what value is there to having a broken glass SP on your phone? You will have to remove regardless.

If there are lots of little bits of glass that can move around I would positively get it off

I dont think so.

I dont think a cracked screen protector can scratch your screen. The protector is their to "protect" your phone. I'm sure the company tested the product out before selling it to the customers. If all screen protectors scratch your screen then I dont see the purpose of having it. Although I know that when you shatter your screen, the protector is there to hold the pieces together... Anyways, hope you got an answer from that company!

Take the broken screen protector off "NOW"
