Can a Cellular Apple Watch get blacklisted?

Hi there. I’m looking at an Apple Watch off Craigslist (Cellular) and wondering if watches can be blacklisted. I’ll pay a little more and go retail if they can be.

I’m in Canada, but imagine the same policies/regulations apply in the US to.

FYI in the UK an EMEI number can be blacklisted, so any phone can. No idea about Canada/US.

You often see phones for sale on ebay where it says "not for sale in blah blah country". I would never buy one of these as they are typically an insurance fraud or stolen and therefore will not work on that countries system as they have been blacklisted

I think you're correct about that, it's not the "Watch" that gets blacklisted, it's the IEMI, and that is unique to the SIM, so yes, it can would be my thought. Now, the other question is, if it's Blacklisted in the US, is it Blacklisted in say, Australia, or Germany? One would wonder about that. I'm pretty sure that Canada and US share the same phone services, (isn't there a Verizon Canada?), so if it's blacklisted in US, it should be blacklisted in Canada too. Just some random thoughts.

Last time I looked at this I am pretty sure there was only one international blacklist database but not all countries use it
