Can a late 2015 iMac use a TB3 dock?

In researching all these TB3 devices, can I use a TB3/TB2 dapper and then a TB3 dock to gain TB3 capability?

or would I be better off with an older TB2 dock then a TB3/TB2 adapter?

Still feeling my way around all these TB3 issues.
