I want to use a Mac Mini as a work-from-home station so that I can have Citrix running in full screen for work an be able to swipe it away as needed for personal. I need two screens for work, but that won’t work in the above scenario and I’ve heard that Mac Minis have lots of trouble driving two screens anyway.

I’m looking at something like this 44” ultrawide from Sceptre. Can a Mac Mini drive a screen like this? TIA.

M1 I believe has issues with “non standard” resolutions like ultrawides. So do a bit of research first.

I have a 34" LG ultrawide with an M1 Mini and use Citrix Workspace w/o issues.

Just to close the loop here, I got the 44” Sceptre ultrawide screen and an M1 Mac Mini (16GB) and it works perfectly. It’s so nice being able to spread out apps on my Citrix desktop without the constraints of the separate screens, and then being able simply to swipe it away to reveal my home desktop.

In case anyone is interested, the Sceptre looks great and has a really nice stand that allows you to raise/lower, tilt and swivel the screen. It has excellent I/O options, including a USB hub. It does have built-in speakers, but they sound sound terrible.

This is working great.
