Can a newly purchased iPhone 4 (came with 4.0.2) be jailbroken?

Almost November.. hope it's soon! I'm dying to actually use my iPhone 4 as an emulator, it's been a $500 paperweight lately. A cracked 3G is getting more use!

I am not sure if you are still asking for the same Question as you did on the OP, but 4.1 can be JB now, Limera1n or Greenpois0n.

No kidding!!! I went on vacation the 10th and just got back today.. I guess I missed it in that time.

Which would you recommend kind sir? This is great news!!!

LOL that explains it...it have been the topic of the forums for the past weeks or so.

Anyways, It is really no much diference between them, some people like one over the other one. ME personally I used Greenpois0n, just because I personally stay away from broken code from geohot, however his code have been revised already several time and it should stable by now. (and at the end, the bootrom exploit is the same, just a tiny different implementation)

Just looked.. yep, it looks like it was made public 10/10. I left at 5am that morning! D'oh.. would've been nice to have on the plane ride!!!

HD icons? That's it though..oh and Facetime over 3G...it's not terribly exciting...but it is vis-a-vis iOS w/o jailbreak.
