Can a person load OS/X on a PC machine?

I have a strange question. Can a person wipe out the drive they have on a pc machine. Format the drive using Fat 32 format and install the Tiger software OS/X on it to test out the apple experience? Or am I out of my mind?

I realize it would not be a apple machine but if it worked it would be a way to test out the operating system until one can afford the switch over from pc to mac.

Not legally, but I have seen it done.

It's possible, but difficult and against the EULA. We don't discuss such violations here.
