Can a remote access computer sign-in your hotmail if no password was needed?

A friend is concerned that by allowing their computer to receive access remotely could make their browser's Hotmail by which is password-less (because of remember-me setting) susceptible to snoop.

Could this be true? Can the cookies in your browser be functional from a remote computer the same way?
