Is there a way to connect (pair with) airpods to a wireless speaker either directly or thru an iPhone for lecture in a classroom? The purpose is to use the airpods as a microphone for the wireless speaker.

It is possible to pair the iPhone with the wireless speaker. If I connect earpods (a wired headset) to the iPhone, it is possible to use the headset as a microphone for the wireless speaker?

just download any microphone app?

Thanks for ur suggestion. There seems to be only one iPhone app, megaphone($4.99 to exclude ads), that has Bluetooth connectivity. However, it seems that this app only uses the iPhone's microphone and does not work if one uses the microphone of the EarPods (it does not support airpods. ).

When using this app to connect to a wireless speaker, some users complained on the App Store that there is a large time lag, 200-500 ms (from a YouTube tutorials), between the voice input to the iPhone's microphone and the speaker output. Not sure, how bad it will sound.
