Can an AT&T iPad be used on Verizon?

Tried searching but didn't get any answers. I found a iPad 2 several weeks ago and after turning it into my local police department it turned out no one claimed it and I got to keep it.

I already have the new iPad but this one I found actually is the 3G version (I only have wifi) and is on the AT&T network. I'm really excited to be able to use this iPad on the go whenever I want but I really don't like AT&T's coverage where I live so I was wondering if it were possible to have this iPad on Verizon's network as opposed to AT&T.

If not I guess I can try AT&Ts speeds for a month and see if I like it. I just really have a preference to Verizon.

    Anyways, thanks for all replies!

No. Completely different radios. CDMA vs gsm. If Verizon service is a must, sell it and buy a comparable Verizon model.
