iPad Can an iPad be JBn on an existing 7.1.2 install?

Like the title states...

Can I jailbreak a couple of iPad 3s with Pangu on an existing 7.1.2 install, or should I do a clean install first?

You will be able to jailbreak them as they are, but a clean restore is always best for battery life and trouble free operation.

Yeah. Has to be updated/restored via iTunes.

No. Pangu works fine with OTA install.

but is OTA update trouble free? in my experience, NO!

- i had an iphone 4, updated to 7.1.2 from 7.1, no jailbreak, recovery bootloop, had to restore.

- my brother updated iphone 5 from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 OTA, no JB, it was fine but after a month the phone would freeze,i thought its a hardware issue but after a clean restore and now its ok.

i will never update OTA, even if i wont JB!

A clean install is suggested in case the jailbreaking process gets stuck, which happened to me once!

Always do a clean restore before you jb.
