iPod touch Can an iPT cast to a television?

Was wondering if an iPT can cast to a TV, possibly using technology like Chromecast. I know Android devices do have this functionality built in.

Don't have an ipod touch yet, but my iphone 6 + was able to connect to my father's Chromecast at his home.

It is app specific, it can't cast your phone's screen like certain Android phones can.
