Can any app show up in menu bar?

Gary's latest video on the Color Meter app makes me wonder if there's a way to put that app (or any other app for that matter) into the menu bar? I could put Color Meter in the dock, but working in photo editing I don't want the dock involved. Maybe Yosemite makes this possible and I've just missed the memo?? Thanks.

No... that is something that the developer would need to code into the app as a feature.
