I'll be travelling for the day to Cologne in just over a week and will probably pick up a microsim. The T-mobile tariffs seem the best ones so I'll probably pick one of those up (also I know there's a T-mobile shop a short walk from Köln Hbf).
Question: It says on the T-Mobile site that you get 2 free days of use when you buy the 9.95 card. Do you have to use the two days immediately or can you use them when you want? I'd usually assume it does the two days post activation but the "inklusive 10,- Startguthaben" suggests it might be otherwise.
Also, do you renew via an interface on the iPad or do you have to call up and top up credit etc? We're planning a Ski-trip to Austria early next year and since we'll be doing most of the driving in Germany, I'd like to use the sim in a mifi or something for the passengers in the car to stay connected for the journey.
