Can Anyone Help? (Water Damage)

So yesterday I dropped my phone, Sadly it landed in some water left it to dry over night and what not.
Now this morning it wouldn't turn on, however if plugged into the wall it would come on but would tell me i have to restore iphone before i could use it.

Now i went to plug it into the computer and it is not recognized at all, so i pressed the home button and power button and shortly after about 30 seconds its recognized in itunes. So i go to restore and try to restore it and i get the "the IPhone 'Iphone' could not be restored. An Unknown error has occurred (1601).

Now i have tried everything to restore it but its just a black screen when plugged in to the computer. yet plug it into the wall and i pretty much have my phone back except it can not find my carrier. Btw im canadian and with telus.

You cant fix water damage with software.
Its a hardware issue.

It's pretty much dead.

You could try to let it sit a few more days, but the result will likely be the same.

They might do an out-of-warranty replacement for you ... cheaper than buying a new one outright.

I don't know about those specifics, you'll have to ask them.

It could just be messing up because it's still wet inside. Leave it to dry for another week in dry conditions, try it again, if its still broken then you've got a shiny paperweight.

Even letting it dry longer, damage has been done - it will not work the same as before the accident.

They may have it in backstock ... you really should be calling Telus.

i did yesterday they told me to go to apple see what they can do if not go back to them if i cant get it repaired... but according to telus they no longer carry the 16g black iphone only 8 g 3gs and 8g 3g

Ok, then I'd call Apple support tomorrow when they open.
