Apple case is the best I have seen so far

I didn't want to buy the Apple case, based on previous reviews I have read, but when I got my iPad, I bought an Apple case under the condition of returning it as soon as I find a better one. It's been over a week, and I have no further plans to return it.

Just a suggestion:Beware of cases that have magnets or metal clips.

Had to pass on some because 3G and magnets don't play well. I opted for this cheaper case http://www.ctcstore.com/CTCstore-Leather-Flip-Book-JacketFolio-for/M/B003JKH3MQ.htm which so far has been great. Many options for holding and setting it up at different angles. I can even strap it to my headrest in the car to show a movie to my kids. Be warned it is NOT leather but it's only $20. I got mine thru Amazon with free shipping.

ash =o)

I have two recommendations...

1. Figure out a basic style you want. There are dozens/hundreds of cases. Do you want a folio, shell, slip, etc. ??? Do you want a specific color or texture??? How should we know (or why should we care) what you want if you don't know the style you'd like?

2. Check in the "iPad Accessories" forum or if you have figured out a few possibilities, perform a simple search. Every other thread is about cases. I'll even link you to it...

1. ignore the above post, because the apple case is awesome. It is great quality and has the most function.

2. if you read the hundreds of lengthy reviews in the accesories thread I am sure that you will find a case that fits your needs.

Another vote for Apple Case. Given its functionality and price, it is a pretty good deal.

I have just bought the Sena zipped case, not cheap but it is brilliant. Tried the Apple case, too snug and didn't like the fact that you couldn't close the cover properly and the padding wasn't good. I had a leather Belkin case before that but it had stripy lines on the inner padding which used to leave marks on the screen after a while.

I bougt the Apple case despite negative reviews. It seemed weird the first day, but it quickly grew on me; now I love it. Other portfolio cases I've tried either fit poorly or make the iPad seem bulky. My 2nd favorite case is a cheapo snap-on model I found on Amazon. It's black plastic with a rubberized coating. I think it cost under $7.00 including shipping.

Eh, this is one of those subjects where everyone has a different opinion because we all have different needs, different lifestyles and different aesthetic opinions...

Personally, I have a silicone cover from incase that gives the ipad a completely flat back, which keeps it from wobbling when you type on it. Does a great job of protecting the Sides and back. I use a power support USA anti glare protector on the screen, and then I put the whole thing into a targus iPad bag when carrying it around outside.

To each their own though. You really need to look at the cases, try to play with them and see what will fit your needs.

I've got this one: http://ispot.com.pl/Tucano_Lips_Microfiber_etui_iPad__popielaty_p30706.html
Not sure if you can get this one in US (but I think yes, because it's still Tucano's case).
If you are chosing case it depands. If you want to use your iPad all time in case go for Apple iPad Case if not (like me) check out Tucano's cases - nice, stylish, well finished and advantage of those (or disadvantage - depends) cases is guarantee that everybody won't look on you like "hey, this guy has iPad, I want it" (anyway I think that in US not so many ppl as in Poland takes care for this kind of things).

Griffin Elan Passport.

My opinion might not be completely good, because i haven't really looked at any other cases.

I have the Otterbox Defender case for the Ipad. It is a good one if you have your kids playing with the Ipad. Otherwise the Apple case is perfect.

Spent 7 weeks with no case. Looked at several models a couple of times, but none of the slicone and clamshell cases felt right. Finally tried an apple case and it just felt right. Easy to carry, easy to hold, light and covers the screen. Perfect for me.

I have the apply case and it feels nice and protects from scratches. Also, it is still in perfect condition after months of use. Fits my needs

Just bought the new Targus Truss at Bestbuy. Initial impression is good. Will report back later after I get iPad installed. Lifetime warranty too!
