I've been experiencing a minor bug where apps that are locked with FaceID "crash" when removed from multitasking. When I remove them, I see the FaceID symbol again and then my phone returns to the home screen without the usual animation. It's not a major issue but I just want to make sure it's an iOS bug rather than something wrong with my volume specifically. Can anybody replicate this? It sometimes takes a few tries for me to experience it. Here's a screen recording.

I tried several times but I can’t replicate the issue.
If i remove the app, the phone remains on multitasking page and the Face ID unlock symbol doesn’t appear.

What version are you on? If you’re on anything under 13.3 then maybe updating to the newest version will help?

I have seen this issue but with only one of my banking apps. It happened with 13.2 and is still present with 13.3.

Neither can I. Tried it a few times.
Forgot to mention, I'm on iOS 13.2.3.

Good point. Maybe it's an app issue, not necessarily an iOS one? That might explain why I can't seem to replicate it - I don't have the Amazon app; I tried with different ones.

It happens with multiple apps, which leads me to believe that it's an iOS issue.

First, I had a hard time understanding what you did in the video because it was so fast. It appeared that you:

1. Launched Brave
2. It opened to Amazon and logged in with FaceID
3. Then you opened a new tab
4. Then you opened the multitasking interface and force quit Brave, and
5. It tried to FaceID before it returned to the home screen???

It's that last part which is weird. Why would it want to FaceID before returning to the home screen.

Personally I don't think I would worry about it because you shouldn't be arbitrarily force quitting apps to begin with. So it's a curious behavior, but seemingly harmless.
